What is the difference between Leche Viva Plus and Matilde Milk Flow?
Both are built around Ixbut — the traditional Latin American herb used for generations to support breast milk production. Matilde Milk Flow is a single-herb formula: pure Ixbut at 1500 mg per serving — ideal for targeted lactation support or stacking with a postpartum vitamin. Leche Viva Plus is our full-spectrum formula — Ixbut plus Moringa, Chaya, and Anise, paired with a clinical nutrient stack for comprehensive postpartum recovery: milk flow, nutrient replenishment, and nervous system calm.
What is Ixbut and why haven't I heard of it?
Ixbut (Euphorbia lancifolia) is a plant native to Guatemala and Central America, used for centuries in traditional medicine to support breast milk production. Well-known in Latin American communities but largely unknown in the U.S. market — which is exactly why we founded Akna Wellness. Our Ixbut is sourced directly from Guatemala.
Are these products safe for breastfeeding and chestfeeding?
These products are specifically designed to support nursing parents. Every situation is different — please consult your healthcare provider or lactation consultant before starting any new supplement.
Are your products vegan and allergen-friendly?
Yes — 100% vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free. Capsules are made from hypromellose, a plant-derived material.
Safety & Usage
Can I take these during pregnancy?
No. These products are for postpartum and nursing parents only and are not intended for use during pregnancy.
I take medication for blood sugar. Is this safe?
Some herbs in our formulas may interact with blood sugar medications. Please consult your healthcare provider before use.
How long until I see results?
Every body is different. Some new moms notice changes within the first week; for others it may take 2–3 weeks. We recommend at least 3–4 weeks of consistent daily use before evaluating results.

Where are your products made?
In Guatemala — the native home of Ixbut — and exported to the USA. Sourcing from origin is intentional: we believe in honoring the communities that have always held this knowledge.
Are your products tested?
Yes. Both products are third-party lab tested and screened for heavy metals.
Who formulated these products?
A Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Functional Nutritionist with direct clinical experience working with postpartum women. Every ingredient was chosen with intention — not by a marketing team.
